Independent Safeguarding Authority - New Legislation Information

Vetting checks are currently processed by Access NI. In October 2009, new safeguarding legislation will start to be implemented as a result of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 and Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order 2007. Access NI will be implementing this new system in Northern Ireland.

It is essential that all clubs are prepared for this new legislation. Please find links below to relevant information that has already been circulated to GNI affiliated clubs, we would urge you to carefully review its contents. Gymnastics Northern Ireland will forward further information when it becomes available.
