Young Leaders Camp UUJ2012
With the Olympics beginning this week (30th July), it is such an exciting time to be involved in gymnastics and volunteering with Sport.
Young Leaders Camp is an opportunity for participants from 14-18 years to gain some coaching experience, achieve the Award Scheme Coach and learn other skills such as working in a team, leadership and event planning, which are necessary for coaching within sport.
This camp also provides the opportunity for all Young Leaders to plan an event and carry it out at the end of the week, with the gymnastics camp that is running alongside Young Leaders Camp.
This camp is only £40 (Award Scheme Coach Course alone costs £75) and is a great opportunity to develop the skills mentioned above and also inter personal skills. Gaining volunteer hours which are accredited by British Gymnastics and Volunteer Now is a great way to enhance your CV also! Attending this camp will also enable you to volunteer at other British Gymnastics events such as Gymfusion NI or Northern Ireland’s Club and Coach Conference.
