Gymnastics Northern Ireland 2009
Existing Tutors
Tutors wishing to work under the new UKCC L1 and L2 qualification(L2 being implemented in August 2009) are required to attend UKCC training.
Gymnastics Northern Ireland facilitated L1 UKCC tutor training in 2008, L2 training is occurring on Sunday 29th June. If you wish to attend the L2 training please contact the office at admin@northernirelandgymnastics.org. To be eligible to attend L2 UKCC training you must have attended L1 UKCC training.
Existing tutors can continue to use their relevant tutoring qualifications at L2 until the end of July 2009. Tutors at L3 and above will be able to continue tutoring under cycle 6 until the UKCC is implemented for that level.
New Tutors
Due to the implementation of the UKCC and limited resources, training for new tutors will not occur in the immediate future in Northern Ireland. Potential new tutors are encouraged to search for alternative training in England, Scotland and Wales.
Assessors
In 2008 Gymnastics Northern Ireland and British Gymnastics trained up 12 UKCC Assessors. These assessors are now qualified to examine candidates under the new UKCC L1 certificates.
