The vision for Gymnastics Northern Ireland is,
“To be the lead body for gymnastics in Northern Ireland'.

To achieve this vision we will deliver best practice procedures, quality governance, and develop opportunities for every individual within the sport to realise their full potential through performance and related support services.”

The Association is taking a proactive and innovative approach to modernising itself over the next two to three years. There will be many dynamic changes happening across the governing body from 2006 and as a matter of urgency we will be reviewing our structure and implementing efficient governance procedures to ensure that the sport can run effectively throughout the country.

These are exciting times for all to become more involved in driving gymnastics forward in Northern Ireland. We strongly urge you to communicate to everybody that we are changing and to take advantage of all the opportunities that will be forwarded to you.

Communication and change are seen as key to our future success and we appreciate your feedback as, after all, we are here to assist you in developing your club and gymnastics. One of the first steps that the NIAGA have undertaken is to compile a three year strategy to provide focus and inform everybody about what we intend to do.

To ensure that people are fully aware of our aims we will outline a section of it in each edition of the Northern Irish Gymnast. Should you need any further explanations we will be very happy to assist you.

Obviously, in order to achieve our vision we require everybody involved in gymnastics to share it and co-operate with the governing body in all our objectives.

We hope that you share this view and we appreciate your patience and dedication in moving gymnastics forward.
